With a star studded cast, Sing 2 made splash at the box office when it launched back in December 2021. The Illumination Entertainment animated movie brought back most of the cast from the first movie but also adding a few new characters such as Clay Calloway (Bono) and Nooshy (Letitia Wright).
Working closely with Snap, Illumination Mac Guff and Universal, Playhybrid created a Snap exclusive AR experience using an animation sequence sourced directly from the movie pipeline. This front-facing camera experience lets the user practice their best dance moves with two of the movie's main characters, Johnny and Nooshy. This immersive AR effect brings fans closer than they have ever been to the Sing 2 universe and lets them share their experience with friends and family.
The experience was part of the film's global launch campaign and adapted for a many international markets including the United States, Canada (English and French), Denmark, Belgium, France, Germany and the United Kingdom.
